Did you know that pumpkin’s orange hue is from carotenoids? Carotenoids are wrinkle-fighting plant pigments that help neutralize free radicals in the skin, keeping them from damaging the cells that fast-forward aging. Pumpkin is filled with vitamins A, C, and E, as well as powerful enzymes that help to cleanse the skin. Pumpkin also has hydrating properties. All this good stuiff is found in the pulp, not the seeds ( I know they are good to eat too).

Strawberries
I LOVE Strawberries. They are one of my favorite fruits. Did you know that strawberries have more anti-aging vitamin C per serving thanan orange? Research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that people who eat foods rich in C have fewer wrinkles and less age-related dry skin than those who don’t. Vitamin C helps fight free radicals, which damage cells and break down collagen, leading to fine lines.
For smoother, more hydrated skin, apply a natural-berry mask like the one below once or twice a week. Don’t forget to eat vitamin c-rich foods everyday.

Healthy older people shouldn’t bother spending money on computer games and websites promising to ward off mental decline, the author of a review of scientific evidence for the benefits of these “brain exercise” programs says. “These marketed products don’t confer any additional benefit over and above being socially and intellectually active in one’s normal daily life,” Dr. Peter J. Snyder of Lifespan Affiliated Hospitals in Providence, Rhode Island, told Reuters Health. “There are some things that we could be doing that have much more rigorous data to support their application.”

Researchers find no evidence that multivitamin use helps older women ward off heart disease and cancer, the top two killers of women, respectively. This yet another huge blow to the supplement industry.
Other recent studies have suggested that supplement forms of vitamins B, C, D and E, along with folic acid and beta carotene, don’t seem to have cancer-fighting abilities, especially in women.
And just last week, other researchers reported that many healthy U.S. children and teenagers may be popping vitamins and mineral supplements they don’t need, even while children who may actually need the supplements aren’t getting them.

Back Leg Kicks
1. Stand behind a chair. Be sure to hold onto the chair with both hands for support.
2.Kick one leg back using a slow and controlled movement and back to start.
3. Repeat 15 times and switch legs.
As you become more confident with this exercise try using no hands and placing them on your hips. Find a focal point to help with your balance.
