Healthy Turkey Chili - Recipe of the Day

Ingredients:

2 lb. ground turkey meat

1 1/2 cups chopped onion

1 cup chopped green pepper

3 cloves garlic

2 cans low sodium tomatoes in puree, chopped

2 cups water

1 6 oz. can low sodium tomato paste

8 teaspoons low sodium beef bouillon

2 tablespoons chili powder

1 tablespoon ground cumin

2 teaspoons oregano leaves

1 teaspoon sugar

1/2 cup dried lentils

2 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed

Prep:

In large kettle, brown turkey and pour off fat. Add the onion, green pepper, and garlic. Cook and stir until tender.Add all remaining ingredients. Cover. Bring to boil.Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 -2 hours.
